Start a resale store

Every imagine starting a resale store like target, Gander Mountain, or Amazon?
This project has students:
Explore the resale business model
Choose a niche they are excited about launching a store in
Brainstorming the products they will sell in their store
Find actual suppliers for each product
Create a financial model for the business
Plan initial marketing strategies
Create a brand experience that WOWs customers
Create a presentation to investors

Students will never walk into a target the same again after this project.

Exploring resale businesses

In the project students research various Resale businesses exploring what products they sell and who their target markets.
Students develop a good sense of the variety of Resale verticals (retail, sporting goods, food, etc) and niches with in those verticals (Macy's vs Sears).

Choose a niche to launch a resale business for

Students brainstorm niches which they want to start a Resale Business.
This is the fun part. Your students personal interests shine here. Some students will want to start Resale Stores around cheerleading, music, video games, etc.

Decide which products to sell

At this point in the project, students create a list of all the products they envision selling in their store.

Find actual suppliers for their products

Create a financial model for the business

Plan initial marketing strategies

Create a brand experience that WOWs customers

Create a presentation to investors
